All Adoptions will be Handled on an Appointment only Basis

• If you are interested in meeting an animal, complete an adoption application posted on this page or complete a paper application located at the shelter or thrift store. 

• Once your application is approved, a volunteer will contact you 2-3 business days.

• After this call we will schedule an in-person meet and greet with that pet.

  • Please note that a submitted application does not place that pet on hold for you or guarantee that you will be able to meet that pet

• Each appointment is limited to one hour for meet and greets. ​

• If you decide to adopt an animal, we will process adoption fees and paperwork at the time of adoption. 

  • Please bring cash or check.  

  • Cats $75.00 with optional microchipping and registration for additional $25.00.

•  Animals that are already spayed/neutered may be available to go home the same day. 

• Kittens under 4 months will be required to be spayed or neutered at 4 months with proof of sterilization emailed to our shelter at Shelter@heberspringshumanesociety.com

• Please make sure to bring a cat carrier if you’re adopting a cat or kitten.
